On NCAA 14, I ran a dynasty for Smoky Mountain State dynasty for a while and to this day, it is still my favorite Dynasty report I've ever done on OS. Now that college football has made it's way to next gen consoles, along with revamped Teambuilder options, I wanted to give this another shot.

This difference with this new report is that SMSU will have a nickname that better suits the area Gatlinburg, TN area along with a different color scheme. Last time around, we were the SMSU Kodiaks. Now, we are the SMSU Black Bears as the Black Bears are commonly seen throughout the Smoky Mountains and the Gatlinburg area.

In terms of recruiting restrictions, I haven't had a chance to play CFB much since it released. With the new recruiting system, I'm not too confident in my ability to recruit. Until then, the only recruiting restriction I'm going to put on myself is that I cannot recruit any 4* high school players until I reach the college football playoffs or join a Power 4 Conference. I feel like that is realistic to begin with.

Also, I enjoy following the same path that East Tennessee State University did when they first brought their football program back. They had a recruiting class or two and then began to play in actual competition. For the sake of the Dynasty, I simmed through a season and recruited only high school and JUCO players. I then made a new Dynasty file and manually ported those players over to this new file in which I will begin my play through.

Also of note, I took over Kennesaw State for this Dynasty and will be playing through their 2024 schedule before I modify any season's schedule in the Dynasty.

New name and Colors look good.. I love the idea of Team Builder but it needs a a major upgrade in next year's game. I personally hate that you have to replace teams vs being able to add.. With the Pac-12 needing to add teams and taking 5 teams from the Mountain West, I wanted to do a rebuild of the MWC adding teams like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Eastern Washington as well as some fictional schools like Death Valley State and Wyoming State, but the problem is when you replace a school, the school you replace still keeps it's geography location, so when I replaced Old Dominion with Eastern Washington my proximity to home pitch was for kids from Virginia. I tried UMass and it was the same thing.
