Injuries That Carry Over

So I was at ECU in year one, and went on to take the head coaching job at Maryland. When looking at Maryland's roster after the season was over, I saw that their starting QB Billy Edwards Jr. was hurt with a season ending injury, a Broken Femur.

Well, I'm thinking I would get him back and he would be the starter the next season, and he's still injured. I'm currently in Week 8 and it's saying he's still out for 14 weeks. So he won't be back at all this season. He is a Senior(no redshirt). So I'm wondering if this is a career ending injury.

Any body else have this happen?

Yep. I had a guy tear his pec late in a season, and then miss the entire next year. If he is available to redshirt, it’ll do that automatically since he won’t play in 4 games. Then he was ready a full year+ later.

Yep. I've seen 40+ week injuries.

I had no idea this was in the game, pretty cool imo.

I still can't get one that last any longer then the current game.

Re: Injuries That Carry Over

It’s not terribly common unfortunately. I’ve only had 1 career ending injury in my dynasty so far (broken back).

Thanks for this information. I had a LT who had a season ending injury in week 1 this past October and was wondering if injuries could span over multiple seasons. He was back for opening day the following year and so I thought they wouldn't carry over. Glad to hear they can!
