12/3 Roster Update - TENDENCIES

Was brought to my attention by one of my followers ZionWilliamstan (not sure of their OS handle) that Touch & Shooting Tendencies were updated today.

More significantly, it appears that they changed the scales for Shot and Touch. If you find any changes to gameplay or simulation, post them here.

EDIT: 12/4/24 Roster Update

Re: 12/3 Roster Update - TENDENCIES

Just based of initial lookaround. It seems those were the only two re-scaled.

I wonder if one of these things is about to come along with today's update in the near future?

1. A playbook and or ACE update is coming and this was to account for those changes to GAMEPLAY only

2. More Tendency edits could be coming to balance gameplay using more re-tooled scales

What I've observed after today's update via personal testing

Sim Stats are now sort of out of whack in terms of PPG as league leaders (Luka, Ant, Giannis, SGA etc.) are now averaging only 24.8 or less with many top tier scorers dropped 6 + PPG using default sliders and controlling all 30 teams in MYNBA sim)

Yes, Touch/Shot are re-scaled. They did update the actual Shooting Tendencies as well though (Under/Close/Mid/3pt).

Embiid for example
OLD: 68-86-42-38
NEW: 68-86-50-38

At second glance I think only Mid/3pt changed, double checking.

You would think these guys would know that Shot Tend is for sims and didn't need to be re-scaled. There is literally zero reason to marry it to Touch. How do the devs not even know how their game works.

Knicks look terrible
Shot/Touch
72/75 Brunson (30 USG%)
72/72 Towns (29 USG%)
70/70 Bridges (19 USG%) - TF is this?
60/65 Anunoby (19 USG%)
60/65 Hart (14 USG%)
60/60 Payne (19 USG%)
60/60 McBride (18 USG%)
55/65 Achiuwa (16 USG% in 2024)
50/55 Robinson (10 USG% in 2024)
50/50 Sims (6 USG%)

65/60 Kolek
55/55 Ryan
45/65 Dadiet
45/45 Buie
35/55 Toppin
35/45 McCullar

Fun fact they ONLY updated standard contract players on teams so a few 2-Ways like Mac McClung, Brandon Williams, etc have the highest Shot Tends on their teams. Isaiah Wong who just signed with the Hornets has a 95 Shot Tendency. The quality control of this team has been *** for 20 ****ing years.

Re: 12/3 Roster Update - TENDENCIES

Knicks Shooting Tends
Under-Close-Mid-3pt
Brunson: 38-91-50-69
Towns: 47-56-30-58
Anunoby: 42-19-35-56
Bridges: 32-21-30-34-75
Hart: 32-21-X-34 (Forgot him if someone can grab it)
McBride: 24-20-30-72
Robinson: 57-2-20-0 (Yes that is a 20 Mid-Range Tend for Mitchell Robinson)
Payne: 23-31-40-74
Achiuwa: 60-20-25-22
Kolek: 30-40-30-60
Sims: 30-4-20-0
Ryan: 3-12-30-84
Hukporti: 95-0-20-0
Dadiet: 43-39-30-34
McCullar: 11-12-35-60
Buie: 5-34-30-92
Toppin: 28-9-30-38

Under/Close/3pt are unchanged for the Knicks. It is only MID-RANGE that is changed league-wide.

Clearly they just put Mid on some 5-point scale. They range from 10-60.
DeRozan is tops with 60.
Anyone who doesn't conform to this scale is a basically a Two-Way player.

Jared McCain's 3PT Tendency is changed 75 (+9) so they might have re-done a handful of players/rookies (i.e. why I thought it was more widespread)

Sadly, we both know why the tendencies are in the state they are in. COMMUNICATION is key, and until that changes on their end it will continue as above. My ultimate wish would be that one day we get the actual DEV in charge of the tendencies to coordinate with the engineer in charge of creating them and they together get the much needed info on scales etc to the actual person editing them.

I don't really understand why these were the only tendencies updated as Shot Tendency, Mid, 3 affect SIM while Touch, Spot up Mid/3 affect Gameplay so no clue what the thinking was with what they put out.

I will say (My personal speculation) there could be the possibility the update was based off an earlier roster sheet given to edit off of instead of one that included all the two way players. If not, then that is just lazy.
