Re: Week 11 Discussion Thread

Looks like the Eagles need Deebo to jump in and knock around Jake Elliott and their long-snapper a little bit.

Re: Week 11 Discussion Thread

Watched the game this mornig. Scored seemed closer than the game felt. Defense was elite. Jalen Carter was a game wrecker. Mitchell clamped up Terry M. If Mitchell would've caught some early INTs in the season, Mitchell would be a clear DPOY leader. I thought Saqoun would be good, but he has been better than expected. Legit chance at 2000+ All Purpose yards. But, the Giants discourse needs to stop. Giants would still be a bad team with Saquon. The mistake wasn't being willing to pay Saquon $12M, it was paying Jones $40M.

Jake Elliott has been off this year. I don't know how Hurts passed the Concussion Protocol. He was clearly stumbling on his words in the SVP interview. Luckily they have 10 days until next game

Re: Week 11 Discussion Thread

I'm a Giants fan and my brother's an Eagles fan. He's always sending me "Thank you Giants!" texts.

I'm happy for Saquon. He was being wasted here in NY. Good to see him flourish with a franchise that knows what its doing. Giants have been spinning their wheels since the last Super Bowl.

illwill10, I love Saquon, but it was a TERRIBLE mistake for the Giants to draft him. I don't care how great the RB is....in today's NFL, you never draft a RB that high when the team is not ready to win. It was a bad football decision and I screamed about it that night. Gettleman thought the Giants were better than their record and all they needed were a few tweaks(despite Eli being past his prime). If the front office realized the team needed a complete rebuild, they wouldn't have wasted that pick on a RB (he would admit years later it wasn't the right strategy).

I fully agree.

I'm never for drafting a RB top 10. Unless it's a situation where an elite team that has someone else's first, drafting a RB that high on a bad team feels like a waste. Most RB's prime is over around 26-27. Like with ATL with Bijan, I feel drafting a RB in their situation not having a solidified QB isn’t good for their future

Not that I really ever see teams do this, but wouldn't one argue that you should draft the highest value player regardless (as long as no one is within earshot of intrinsic value for your team) so you could just trade him over to another team for something of equal value that benefits you? Like, couldn't've they drafted Saquon and then traded him to some team in need of an RB for future picks?

Again, I don't really see this happen often. Instead I often just see draft picks traded in the moment.

Giants could have drafted Josh Allen to be Eli's successor, then later go for Nick Chubb. But at the time, they weren't high on Allen. I'd say it worked out for Buffalo.

I didn't watch the whole game but I did see a double reverse where he got
sacked and got up really slow. Was that the hit?
