NASCAR Heat Pit Strategy?

Looking for any information/advice/tips, in general, but most specifically what strategy you use to decide on making your first pit stop. Is it even really that important or if you screw up in the timing of it, if I'm running 100% full races, its okay and there will be ample time to get back on track? Like, is it more important to get your last pit stop strategy right than your first pit stop?

Re: NASCAR Heat Pit Strategy?

Main thing is you should always pit with other drivers on the plate tracks (Daytona, Talladega) so you have drafting partners when you exit. This isn't too important on the other tracks.

Strategies can be different depending on race length and tire wear/fuel settings. Just watch for the tire and fuel indicators to come up at the bottom of the screen. For the ovals, you can run about 2 more laps once the fuel indicator come on and the tire wear indicator will come on once one of you tires reaches 20%. Also, use the laps remaining and projected laps run, especially in the final stage say for instnace if you only need a splash & go to reach the end of the race then you shouldn't do a full stop or you'll lose a ton of time as the other drivers will likely also only 2 a splash & go or just take right side tires and 1/2 or 1 can of fuel.
