NBA2K25 PC Performance Issues thread

Thought I'd create a general thread specific to performance issues.

Anyone else having weird issues with stuttering on the menus in 2K25 on PC and at other weird times?

It's strange because when the playing the games themselves the frame rate is pretty smooth, but any time my PC seems to try to "load" something (e.g coming in and out of half time, navigating in and out of the menus) the game just turns into a jittery mess to the point I can't even use my controller to navigate sometimes.

Not sure whether it's a driver or compatability issue or something, but I have all the latest Nvidia drivers and so forth. I've lowered graphical settings a fair bit and as I said the gameplay itself is quite smooth, laptop is only a RTX 3060 though (but again, weird that the performance issues would be in the menus and not playing actual basketball).

Anyway, creating this for people to share any issues.

I have the same issue, but during gameplay. Its a jittery/stuttering mess. I've been emailing back and forth with 2K support for the past few days and nothing has changed.

I think one of the last few updates from the game caused the issue. I have a 4090 and 7800X3d and shouldn't be having this issue.

Hey man, I have the literal same specs as you. How did you overcome this? have you found any sort of fix in the settings?

1. place all your video settings on low, then exit game.
2.from desktop...search graphic setting..open..then either browse and add or search for in the list... 2k25
3. select it...then options
4. select high performance...i leave auto hdr unchecked
5. launch game
6. what my settings are: select dlss ---balanced..1440p. high taxing things like cloth and ray tracing, global lummination either off or low. what i have on high is player details, crowd, npc stuff. while keeping the vram bar at the top less than or equal to half way. I've also played on 4k before with just little studder. But i prefer my gameplay performance slight on 1440p.

With my settings, things look good, i get a little studder at tip off and still half-time for me is a mess..speeds through (the guys talking...not the highlights).but it has always been like that for me. But other than that i good.

I hope this helps. Maybe there's a certain setting setup that helps

After a few weeks, It eventually fixed itself. It drove me mad and I uninstalled the game several times.

The disconnects online makes this game trash.
