Concussions

Just realized I have never seen a concussion as an injury type. Not a Madden guy so I don’t know if this is a well-trodden subject. I know they have to protect the brand, but it seems a little disingenuous if they purposefully prevent one of the most common football injuries to appear.
Also, saw my first career ending injury last night. What was interesting is that he left the game with a “strained back” and after the game it was listed as a broken vertebrae. Felt sorry for the imaginary young man.

Re: Concussions

Madden is definitely controlled by NFL, who told them “no brain related injuries.” Same happened with helmets popping off or guys needing to be carted off, NFL shut that down. They’ve pulled many things they don’t like bringing attention to.

That was almost certainly carried over whether by borrowed code or conference/NCAA demands, not by EA’s own choices.
