So if you're not seeing the CPU run it more, are you using a new or existing franchise save. Also is your franchise offline or online if you aren't seeing the CPU run it more. what teams are you up against? I think there's some confusion and it would be nice to filter out the variables. I know I'm already several years into a franchise and don't want to restart to get better run pass ratios. I guess the point of this thread is to figure out definitively whether we need to start a new franchise to get the playbook fixes.

Well I can tell you from looking at the files on PC, the playbook stuff is all global, including the tendencies. Nothing in it is specific to franchise. What *could* potentially cause a variance is the "Launch Playbooks" option. I would stick with it off, at least for testing this.

I only tested one half of an existing offline franchise and the Chiefs passed it 19 out of 26 plays (they did trail all half but was a one score game)

Yes, certainly. Played two games in my 2027 season, as Dallas. On All Madden, Matt10 sliders.

Buffalo ran a lot early, passed more when they were behind.

NY Giants (now with a weak year 1 QB) used multiple power 1WR sets, and ran a lot. I struggled to stop them, having to go 4-4 often.

Played Seattle in a existing fs. Using a set from YouTube all madden. 22 pass and 25 rush attempts pretty solid game. Ended in a tie

Re: Are you noticing a more balanced rushing attack in New or existing franchises?

I still feel like the CPU is still pass-first on first down a bit too often with certain teams (Saints, Chiefs, etc.), and that contributes to it appearing to "give up" on the run sometimes, and resulting in lower than realistic totals by the end of games. But I've seen a lot more running on 2nd/3rd and less than 10 yards from those same teams, which tells me they made some changes to the gameplans in each playbook (the "star" system that dictates the frequency of it running certain plays in certain down-and-distance situations). So, I do think it's better, but it's situational. And how well the changes work will depend on how well the rest of the game is playing - if those teams never see 2nd or 3rd and less than 10 yards, they're still going to end up passing a whole lot.

Just my two cents.

It’s still going to be team specific and a 19-7 split against a team that has Mahomes seems reasonable. Teams with lesser QBs should run more often though.
