Board Objectives

I have a critical board objective to sign 1 "veteran" player. Does anyone know what the game defines as "veteran?"

I disabled the first transfer window but managing Chelsea I'm happy to sign a veteran striker to backup Nico Jackson or a veteran goalie to replace Robert Sanchez in the January window.

I think I remember from previous FIFA games that a "veteran" level player was someone aged 28 and older. Usually it's also a specific overall need to qualify also depending on the club you are. I would think as Chelsea you'll need an 80 OVR.

I would recommend getting into the January window and creating a second save and negotiate a transfer that you think and then check the objectives to see if the box is checked now. If it doesnt work go back to your original save and try again until you figure out what that player needs to be.

Thanks for the reply. There are a handful of older goalies I'm considering that are better than my current starter, 80 rated Robert Sanchez.
38 year old Manuel Neuer is 86 rated and contract expiring at Bayern
35 year old Yan Sommer is 87 rated at Inter. Maybe I can convince him to come to London with a higher wage?
I'm sure one of them has to meet the "veteran" objective.

Just thought I'd share here in case anyone else is wondering about board objectives because I know last years game they were somewhat vague.

I restarted my Chelsea save after my original post here.

The objective this time was to "Sign 3 players born in Europe." I feel like in FC 24 there would often be an unwritten rule that those players had to given important or crucial squad roles. That wasn't the case for me this time though.

I made Jadon Sancho's load permanent and gave him a crucial squad role, which counted toward the objective.

I then signed Jorrel Hato from Ajax and gave him a rotation role. He also counted toward my objective. (I plan on selling Cucurella in the summer window and having Hato and Veiga compete for the LB spot that I have as part of a back-3 in possession.)

Finally signed Marcus Thuram from Inter to compete with Nico Jackson for the striker position. He got an important squad role which completed the objective for me.

My other board objective under "brand exposure" has been more difficult. I was asked to get 5 consecutive clean sheets in away league games. Don't think I'm going to reach that one.
