Mortal Kombat Khaos Reigns -Animalities return! (PC)

I picked up the Khaos Reigns DLC and was very happy to see Animalities have returned. Some of these are amazing!

Yeaaaa, I'll have to pass on that lol. They've gotten way too gratuitous with the gore, and trust me, I'm no where near the "squeamish" type. Before anybody comes in here ripping on me talking about the history of MK, I'm fully aware and think the very first game was cool.

I specifically remember the classic first MK where one of the characters could rip the skull and spine out and hold it up (reminded me of the first predator movie actually). Now, they're moving into the corn realm imo. (had to look up the definition of gratuitous again and a synonym for it is unnecessary, so yea I picked the correct word lol).

haha, i hear you and I know what you mean...I think they have actually gone over the top, and with a new, bright color palette in order to sort of actually lessen the impact.

But yeah I can't disagree that it's pretty crazy and may not be for everyone.

Personally my main thing I love is how colorful and sparkly and glowy the game is, yes I'm like a toddler at times, LOL

The story for this DLC might be the worst story I’ve ever seen told in a video game. It is incredibly bad, and unfortunately not in a fun way.

The dialogue is stilted, the flat voice acting is comparable to Madden NFL Face Of The Franchise, there’s a whole lot of telling and not a whole lot of showing, character relationships have no setup so their actions and sacrifices aren’t earned, the overarching stakes change on a whim, and the climax… doesn’t resolve anything? It’s all so utterly pointless and a waste of time.

My standards for video game stories are low — I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever for crying out loud — but holy crap this is such dog water.
