**PHILLYFAN23 ALL STAR NHL 25 SLIDERS**

Focus is to have simulation feel nhl hockey where ratings matter, you will see bad players fumble the puck more, fail to receive passes and lose the puck.

This slider set works best with custom team strategy settings that I have previously released, and will update for 2024-2025. Stay tuned for that.

The must change for the custom strategy are 2 items:

1) forward line cycle/shoot slider needs to be all the way to the left to promote cycling. On default, the cpu ai is WAY too shot happy.

2) Dmen shot tendency all the way to the right, to maximize dmen shooting. Since each player has a shot bias rating, Erik Karlsson will still shoot much more than a Luke Schenn/Nick Seeler types.

Will update sliders throughout the season iff needed.

Skating in general made slower and heavier
To balance shot speed is increased, because slower gamespeed yields to slower shots. Increased the shots to counteract the cheap blocker side goals as well. Doesn't totally eliminate it, but I see it few and far between now.

Penalty sliders also made heavy edits since my playstyle is more conservative and had too many user PPs and not enough CPU PPs.

For the team strategies: I have 3 values for forward line and 1 value for d lines.

I set ALL forward lines to 0/10 cycle shoot, because the cpu forwards are a little too shot happy.

So a forward line that is OVR 3 5 3

Is using overload strategy
Carry/dump: 3/10
Cycle shoot : 0/10
Efficiency/energy: 5/10
Dont block/block: 3/10

Dmen lines I put ALL lines as 10/10 cycle shoot to promote dmen shots because theyre slightly pass happy.

So dman line with a digit of 4

Hold line /pinch: 4/10
Cycle/shoot: 10/10

So without 30 team control in franchise mode, how do you edit each teams strategies and have them stick?

Only way to do that is Season Mode I do believe, but none of the changes you see in Franchise are in Season Mode.

Go to Roster on main page:

Roster>Edit Lines> Strategy.

Change all your teams' strats here so it will automatically load if you play franchise, season or play now. This will stick.

I also play season mode so I do have 30 team control and can make sure lines are accurate to real life. But within franchise I presume the strats will stick as long as you set the cpu strat adjustment slider to 0 in the gameplay slider page. You can change this to 2/6 when cpu is down 2 goals in 3rd period to make them more aggressive, or if you want the cpu to pull goalie late in game. This way, the team strategies will be used for most of the game.

I have an excel file with all teams strats from last season. is that shareable here?

I've included the team strategies on 1st post. I will share the excel to anyone who wants to make changes to their teams. Excel file is not available as a file for upload on OS.Each team was researched, but I'm sure a specific team fan will have even a better handle on accurate team strategies.

Then we could have a file with really accurate strats to share

I read this wrong, I thought you meant have 30 team control etc. Not just if the Strats stick in Franchise after you change them prior to starting a franchise.

Strategy changes don't stick in franchise, only season mode and play now.
