Recruiting and Scheme Fits

Wondered if anyone has made a guide for what player tendencies to recruit depending on what scheme a team is running on offense. From what I've gathered:

VEER AND SHOOT

QB - Field General
RB - Power Back
FB - Blocking
WR - Deep Threat
TE - Possession (Heupel) or Blocking (Briles)
G/C - Power
LT/RT - Pass Protector

"MODERN" AIR RAID (PRO SPREAD)

QB - Improviser
RB - Receiving
FB - Utility
WR - Route Runner
TE - Possession
G/C - Pass Protector
LT/RT - Power

PRO STYLE - Pro Style is split into teams with 1:An emphasis on either West Coast/Air Raid passing concepts or vertical passing and 2: Reliance on zone running or power running.

QB - Improviser (West Coast) or Field General (Vertical)
RB - Elusive (Zone) or Power (Power)
FB - Utility (West Coast) or Blocking (Vertical)
WR - Route Runner (West Coast) or Deep Threat (Vertical)
TE - Possession (West Coast) or Vertical Threat (Vertical)
OL - Agile (Zone) or Power (Power). For Vertical offenses, LT/RT are Pass Protectors

SPREAD

QB - Improviser
RB - Elusive
FB - Utility
WR - Route Runner
TE - Possession
G/C - Agile
LT/RT - Pass Protector

SPREAD OPTION

QB - Scrambler
RB - Elusive
FB - Blocking
WR - Physical
TE - Blocking
OL - Agile

OPTION

QB - Scrambler
RB - Receiving
FB - Utility
WR - Physical
TE - Blocking
OL - Agile

PISTOL

QB - Scrambler
RB - Power
FB - Blocking
WR - Physical
TE - Blocking
OL - Agile

RUN AND SHOOT

QB - Field General
RB - Receiving
FB - Utility
WR - Route Runner
TE - Blocking
OL - Pass Protector

MULTIPLE - Multiple schemes are split between zone or power running teams

QB - Field General
RB - Elusive (Zone) or Power (Power)
FB - Blocking
WR - Physical
TE - Blocking (Power) or Possession (Zone)
OL - Agile (Zone) or Power (Power)
LT - Pass Protector (Power)

This is great work. Do you have one for the Power Spread?

Re: Recruiting and Scheme Fits

There are a few that I know of that are off for what kinds of players you want to recruit.

Air Raid can vary depending on if you want a modernized one or a Mike Leach/Hal Mumme one. Modernized ones have more scrambler or improvisor types QBs, Mumme and Leach would have field generals with maybe a few improvisors like Harrell and Minshew mixed in. Their recruiting guide was:
QB- Accurate, good decision maker, quick feet, fast release.
WR-X: Needs to be able to take the top off the defense. Fastest player if you only have one fast guy. You want height and body size but can't always get it. In CFB25 this would most likely be Deep Threat and fast Physical receivers.
WR-H: Shifty, elusive Wes Welker type. Doesn't have a lot of size but is as quick laterally as he is in a straight line. In game most players who fit this would be Route Runners or Deep Threats who are small with great agility, accel, and cod.
TE/WR-Y: Vertical Threat TE in game. Needs to be able to catch everything and be tough and take hits over the middle. Leach didn't use a true TE but at times they did offer guys in high school who were flex type TEs and would have planned on playing them here. Alternatively Leach went with a "small" Y which was similar to H but usually a better route runner.
WR-Z: More of a possession type guy. Usually your best route runner or best rounded receiver. He could be similar to X but didn't need to be as fast. Any receiver archetype could work here.
RB-F: Good hands, blocking, best ball carrier. The receiving back archetype isn't the only fit here as what makes a back a highly rated receiving back is the route running for short and mid. You can certainly go with that but 99% of their routes will be swings, shoots, screens, and option route/out/sit type routes. An elusive back with good enough catching and better skills with the ball in his hands will be just as good if not better.
OL: All need to be good at pass blocking. RT will usually be bigger than LT but LT will be quicker. C can be smaller than the guards. Guards need bulk. I wouldn't say any one archetype fits here in game. You need interior linemen to be able to block inside zone while still being good at pass blocking.

Veer and Shoot:
QBs need a big arm, mobility is a plus to help gain numbers in the run game. I think any archetype works but scramblers with big arms open up the offense the most.
The TEs are usually your blocking type guys who play the H-back or sniffer role. Your passing production comes from your receivers not your blockers. It's either 10p or 11/20p depending on what you want to classify your sniffers as.

Run and Shoot:
QB needs a big arm. Field general is fine but I think any archetype would work.
RB is more a big power runner or a fullback type. You don't want receiving backs here, the RnS typically has the back stay in to block on pass plays. You want a big dude who can help pick defenders up in slide protection and run over smaller defenders in a weak box.
WR you want speedy kick returner types.

For Air Raid, I used modern team playbooks (Riley, Harrell, etc.) as Leach was the last of the "pure" Air Raid. I forgot to add the generic Air Raid and Power Spread schemes. I also thought about adding certain attributes to look for (ex. Throw Power in Veer and Shoot), but decided to just go with the archetype.

POWER SPREAD - Very similar to Veer and Shoot and Spread Option in some ways, but clear difference in philosophy. Veer and Shoot philosophy is tempo, 20 personnel, with the goal of throwing deep when the defense brings numbers into the box. Spread Option philosophy is tempo, spacing, and option football. Power spread philosophy is tempo, spacing, and power running with option football included. Power Spread teams throw deep to run the ball, Veer and Shoot teams run the ball to throw deep.

QB - Scrambler
RB - Power
FB - Blocking
WR - Physical
TE - Blocking
OL - Power
