The crazy part is, is that absolutely everyone hated them. Not just here, but Reddit, EA Forums, YouTube, Twitter. The reaction was universally negative across the board. I’m glad EA focused on fixing other things first this year, but I honestly think EA put resources into that last year and is just hoping everyone will get used to them lol

Watched the whole video. I know marketing has never been EA’s strong suit, but my lord. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to show off your first full gameplay demonstration with a bunch of guys who have no idea how to play this game, made a really bad decision. This video actually dropped my excitement exponentially

This 100%.

That was brutal to watch. Guys on the cover and they don't know how to play the game. I get it, they don't have to know how, but don't showcase your gameplay with the first look this way.

Like you said, my excitement dropped a tad from that.

Re: NHL 25 Gameplay Stream

from my view as goalie, I couldn't care less about the players view, but my excitement actually went high, cause I saw less floppy goalies and more goalies that don't flop much, they actually forced players to try even make them score.

1 goalies don't flop much (A+)
2 they went with NHL 07 goalies from long ago
3 goalies should be hard to beat
4 bolds well for be a pro goalies
5 goalies didn't look like they over commited much , unlike NHL 24 where they over commited and flopped after each deke and spin move and fatigued easy.
7 goalie did in fact stand more which I like in NHL 24 I resorted to all kinds methods to stop deker and instinctive system is must
8 it's one up for goalies in NHL 25 no more over commiting to dekes and less flop artist

NHL 25 gets grand A for goalies and A for offense reason players will now have to try hard to score, which is true in real life.

At least the game play looks much slower like real hockey than the up and down default speed setting has been in the past. (I know there is a slider for that, but it's nice to see default is slower)

Re: NHL 25 Gameplay Stream

That was uh...awkward. Skating looks good, saw a few new skate moves with trigger, crowds look good. Game looks fluid as do goalies. I know Nasher is a way better player than that, and those guys didn't have a lot to say really. Didn't see the new skill based timers showcased at all unless I missed them. I'm really anxious to see some more gameplay by others...
