Movement on Defense too Slow

Not sure if others are having the same issue but my player feels much slower on defense than in years past. I tried increasing the perimeter and interior defense settings and also speed and accelleration but it doesn't help. I realize I may not understand how the speed and acceleration settings work. If I want my players to move as fast and quickly as possible is it accurate to say that I should put both of these stats all the way up or am I missing something?

You CAN do that, but I’m not sure why you’d want to. The first thing I’d suggest is to set Game Speed to around 52, as this will make everything a little bit faster and less heavy. Also, I would double check the Movement section at the bottom of the slider menu to make sure those settings didn’t get messed up somehow. Defensive movement is pretty accurate with the base settings, except for some of the slowest big men moving in slow motion.

Yea I agree movement is so slow, and feel like CPU blow past mine. It feels like my players are moving thru hip deep sand. Even my "fast players" feel slow and heavy

Playing WNBA and I have a video but idk hiw to attach stuff on here. But my Center is 61 speed and their Center speed with ball is 42. Yet I'm holding turbo to run back down the court and their Center not only catches me but actually gets a bit ahead of me. There's no way that should be happening

What’s your center’s acceleration? How long has their center been running with the ball? How long has your center been running? If he was already up to full speed and you just started to turn and run, it would make sense for him to get a bit ahead of you. That may not be what’s happening, but it’s certainly possible.

I also don’t know if the Speed with Ball rating is 1-to-1 with the Speed rating, which would mean a player with 50 Speed w/ Ball moves exactly as fast as a defender with 50 Speed. Has anyone tested this?

Their Center grabbed a rebound and before they started moving i had already started back towards the other end. I had few steps lead, and while holding turbo to hurry up and get back down to other end so you can see my character running full sprint, their Center turns around and starts booking it down the court. And immediately catches up to me then passes me.

As for their acceleration I can't look right now, but it was the WNBA Center McCowan (my player) and their Center was Dolson (CPU)

Strange. Only thing I can think of is that your center was maybe fatigued? Fatigue doesn’t really effect the CPU, so if it was late in a game and you had low energy while the CPU is playing as if they have full energy, that could explain the speed difference.

If it’s not that, then it just sounds like 2K decided the CPU was going to win that possession
