I suspect the answer is no but the last time I played NHL they had a list of gameplay patches so you could choose which one you wanted.

They appear to have nerfed defense and botched the kicking meter. I was loving the game until this.

Probably not, but I don’t know. For future reference though, you can save the game file onto an external drive or something before patching so you have a copy of the pre-patch game. Also, what I do is don’t patch for a couple of days (you have to go offline to continue to play the game) to see what has changed. If it doesn’t sound like a problem you can patch it (knowing you have the unpatched game as a backup) or if it sounds like it’s worse, then just stay on the pre-patched version.

Just curious, in what way have they nerfed defense?

This is the only way. Save a copy of the ore-patched game/previous build on an external HDD/SSD just in case.

I don't know man - I've played 3 games post-patch and I'm throwing wayyyyy more interceptions. I threw 7 in 1 game. The most I've ever thrown before was 3.

And in 2 games played, on defense, the CPU QB has smoked my zone on multiple occasions by throwing absolutely absurd deep shot missiles on WR streaks without a single one of my defenders in sight (specifically in occasions where they needed to score), which is something I did not see as often before

I hadn't touched sliders in months, but I immediately noticed things that needed to be changed

I'm having the same experience with the interceptions post-patch. I'm seeing a lot more of defenders reacting to passes behind them that they shouldn't be able to see and making picks with their backs turned. It's very frustrating. The patch in late August caused glitches with running the option, so I am beginning to wish I hadn't bought the game digitally. Every time they patch the game, they seem to cause other problems that make the experience worse.
