Does Coach level affect offers?

I ask as the bigger schools seem to be hiring coaches that are level 30+, and I wonder if that's the issue as to why many players are not getting offers.

I haven't partaken an in-depth study but I suspect players not getting offers has to do with a larger recruit pool than scholarships available.

That's realistic. They end up a a non-division 1 school.

He’s talking about players (the guys sitting on the couch with their controller in their hands) not getting HC offers in the carousel.

I started out as OC at Nebraska and over 3 seasons I become a level 23. When I was keeping track of head coach jobs I noticed many of the power schools were going after, and eventually hiring 30+ level coaches.

I was offered my first big job as OC of Texas A&M (stated it was a job upgrade) and now I'm just buying my time, season after season to see if once I hit 30, if a bigger school will offer me a job once available.

After my 4th year as HC @ ODU (where I started) I was offered the Louisville, Purdue, and Boston College (all 3-3.5 ⭐️) HC jobs and I was level 14. I took the Louisville job.

Thats crazy.

Only HC jobs I ever got was from 2 star and below teams.

I started a Nevada dynasty a couple days ago. Finished the 2024 season 8-5, following a bowl win. I had some P5 coordinator offers once the carousel opened up but I was also offered the HC job at UVA…after just 1 dynasty season.

The coach carousel has some definite quirks to it. And I'm not really sure what plays into getting job offers, aside from your alma mater and pipeline.

I began my dynasty as OC at Ball State. After two years there, I got HC offers at G5 schools, and took over at Colorado State. I was coach level 17.

After one 8-4 season at CSU, I was offered 4 P4 HC jobs - Iowa, Minnesota, SMU, and North Carolina. I declined them, assuming I'd get plenty of other options.

It then took almost 10 in-game seasons to get my next P4 job offer as HC...I was offered the job at Wisconsin in 2035. UW is my in-game alma mater and pipeline. All other offers in the carousel year after year had been P4 OC/DC jobs, or very low prestige G5 HC jobs (Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, etc.). I was a level 37 coach when hired at Wisconsin.

At CSU, I'd been to 5 or so CFPs, won the Mountain West 6 times, had numerous All Americans and award winners, and had several Broyles Award winners that went on to become HCs themselves. But I never got any P4 HC job offers in the carousels from 2027 to 2035...
