Yes, it’s a star driven league. Yes, it’s good to have superstars who feel good. No, it’s not realistic for a team to receive two thirds of all their offense from their two superstars and have them routinely take 30+ field goal attempts every single game.

The AI does NOT play in a way that simulates NBA basketball at the moment because anyone who isn’t a league star does not participate in the offense nearly as much as reality. It’s still a far cry from where it needs to be and I believe the AI needs a major rebalance.

I think one of the core culprits is the coaching engine, which wants you to run through your stars virtually every possession of the game (regardless of coach settings) and so I suspect is over prioritizing putting the ball in stars hands for the CPU. But I’d love to see them passing out a lot more than they do. Again, I’m fine with stats having a huge chunk of their teams offense, that is realistic, but this is more than that.

The superstars taking all the shots is primarily a roster issue. Tendencies should probably be changed, but from my understanding, the main culprit is there are too many poor defenders, and superstars “iso vs” is like 90 against poor defenders. Also, every superstar’s “play discipline” tendency is set to 25.

Not every game is like that. I have had 30 dropped on me by Gary Trent Jr., Eric Gordon, Kelly Oubre, and Max Strues.

I am often pissed that the scrubs do to much.

Agree, not every game is like that and I’ve said this for a few years and people probably don’t agree with the simulation slider has some control over that.

It’s not every game this is why people need to test 10 to 20 games to get a sample size

Just to add to this, even if someone has a 99 for both touches and shots (like Giannis for example), I played a game against the Bucks when Giannis was the 4th leading scorer behind Dame, Gary Trent Jr, and Middleton

I saw that with the Jokic, But he killed me in the fourth quarter, so I always don’t pay attention to the stat line because the game flow played exactly the way I needed it to

The last thing we should worry about is star players playing like star players even if in some games they're excessively dominant. It's not going to happen in every game and it gives more motivation to play defense and focus on them tactically. It wasn't that long ago we were complaining about the lack of impact of superstar players. Hopefully there's going to be sone kind of balancing in October without nerfing them too much.

Facts.

The problem used to be stars play nothing like their real life counterpart. That problem is GONE 😂. These guys are trying to put 50 on my head ! I’ll take that problem any day of the week. There’s enough defensive settings to adjust and make somebody else beat you !
