Week 3 Discussion

Relatively blah week. With two bye weeks this year, some teams are already taking a bye this week too. Things will pick up next week when conference play really gets going.

Two games with ranked teams playing each other:
#6 Missouri vs. $24 Boston College
#14 Kansas State vs. #20 Arizona (Friday night)

Other games of interest
#4 Alabama at Wisconsin
#9 Oregon at Oregon State (feels weird having this game so early in the year)

I'll be braving the rain this week in Knoxville.

I was rather surprised to hear Texas State was given a play last night after everyone thought the game was over and ESPN didn't even air it. There's no way snapping the ball back 5 yards and pausing briefly doesn't take two seconds. Safer to spike it there I guess with the rule that you can't spike it with 2 seconds but that takes less time than that kneeldown did.

Wow, I didn't realize that. I turned it off when the clock went to 0 after the kneel down.

I did figure, instead of taking a knee, that they'd just send a receiver into the end zone and chuck the ball out of the back of the end zone.

Would love to know what goes into the decision for College Gameday (whether it was predetermined and just announced last Saturday evening or decided last Saturday evening).

In any event, that have Gameday from the other Columbia. Feel BC will beat Missouri, so maybe it was for the better.

I believe they have a basic idea of a list to start the season, and they can adjust it as the season goes on.

LSU just bailed out by a dumb penalty that took a pick-6 off the board. Too early to call it, but if LSU loses then then Kelly's seat will get real hot.
