During the presentation of MyNBA and MyGM information for NBA 2K25, Jeff Schrader mentioned that expansion and contraction were being overhauled and updated. They even have a pull quote on the blog that says “You’re going to be able to customize MyNBA to degrees you’ve never been able to before.”

So, what did they do? Did they simply just increase the number of possible expansion teams?

They added Calgary and Mexico City to the list of expansion cities and reintroduced the court creation "no colour" bug
