New Rhythm Mechanic

Hi All,
Been searching everywhere for an answer to this question and can’t seem to find:

What is the tempo when using rhythm shooting referring to? How is tempo affected? I just don’t understand what determines it being too fast or slow and can’t seem to figure out when practicing either. Just thought I’d ask.

Thanks as always fellas

It depends on how quick the shot gets from set to release. For quick shots it is a quick flick, and for slower shots it is slow.

Does it just depend on the shooter? Some will require a quick flick while others a slower one? When in practice mode I’ve gotten perfect tempo with both quick and slower movements at times with the same shooter. So just trying to figure out how to establish a rhythm when practicing.

Re: New Rhythm Mechanic

I messed around with this a bit, seems that hitting up on the stick at the same time as the release point is all that matters whether you do it slow or fast. The actual shot speed sorta determines that timing though. A quick release shot means you gotta hit that "up" input quickly, which makes sense. Been working on it because it seems perfect rhythm guarantees a swish.

Re: New Rhythm Mechanic

so its more move the stick up instead just releasing it (like it was some years before when they tried out a different shot mechanic) and not adjust the moving up speed to the release?

that explains why i couldnt really do that with moving the stick slower...

Yes. That is correct the speed between the timing cue and the release point, will be different for some players. So some require a faster push the opposite way.

Yes. You have to push the stick one way to load up the shot and the other way to get the tempo. The older mechanic from a few years ago was better, but this one may grow on me. It hard to do it on moving shots, and quick catch and shoots for me.

Ton high risk that is correct, but on normal risk that is not the case. There is no guaranteed green on normal risk
