Currently going through the modern rosters and pleased to find a number of new face scans and tattoo updates (I'm sure there's plenty I've missed):

- Micic (scan)
- AJ Lawson (scan and tats)
- Craig Porter (scan and tats)
- GG Jackson (scan)
- Huff (scan)
- Jemison III (scan)
- Fontecchio (scan)
- Whitmore (tats)
- Hartenstein (tats)
- Minaya (scan)
- Waters III (scan and tats)
- Kuminga (hair)
- Leaky Black (scan and tats)
- Olivier Sarr (scan)
- Keyontae Johnson (tats)
- Micah Potter (scan)
- Jalen Wilson (scan)
- Jalen Williams (tats)

And a few notable that haven't been updated yet:

- Hawkins (tats)
- Aaron Wiggins (hair)
- Keyonte George (tats)

Also nice to see some of the rookies have their tattoos this year, as this was something that wasn't updated at all on 24.

This is off to a very good start in 2K25. The player models definitely looks more polished than last year’s and the Tattoos look more defined not washed out look

Bobby Portis needs a new scan without the eye wear. Jaden Ivey should have had his short hair scanned in too.

Did MJ get a new face scan/update?

It seems unlikely since they just updated it for 2K23 but damn this looks real life.

Can’t tell if it’s just some lighting changes or what.


Edit:

I added a view from 2K23’s player editor screen and it appears to be the same scan? But the lighting on 25 just makes it look a lot better in the roster view thumbnail screen. Curious.

^ I chalked it up to lighting AIRJ23. I was watching a CPU vs CPU game involving the '92 Bulls yesterday and MJ was pictured in a block featuring his first half performance to start the 3rd period--the profile image was very impressive.
