^ they got like one song out of 40 on the 2K11 soundtrack. Maybe updates throughout the season will bring the total up to 2 historical songs!

KRS One and Big Boi stand out. Eminem technically applies to the past though I'm sure they're using a modern song. The Clipse can also pass for old school. I'd argue Killer Mike applies as well (has an old school feel and mentality).

I say it almost every year, I wish a focus for the soundtrack was songs that are played in arenas. For example, I'm pretty sure the Celtics still use "Shipping up to Boston" as their tip off song. Is it a song I like or associate with basketball? Not really, but it would add to the authenticity and immersion.

Around 50/50 for me between artists I like/heard of and people I don’t know. I’m not picky though.

The last couple of years around season 2-3 they put in a whole bunch of 90-2000 era sounds which I’m all for if they do that again.

Agree Everytime it came I was bumping.

I use to be very excited for the soundtrack reveal every year. But I think it's their ability to update and remove songs that has changed the way I look at this now. I think no matter what they release it's going to be a banger. It's just part of the culture at this point. Do I wish we could back to those indie days. Hell yeah, But I know this game waaaay to popular at this point.
