Never mind a deep dive, Be a Pro apparently isn't even getting a toe dip?

What the actual?

HARD pass, if that's the case.

So ea going to make the menus look different in franchise mode. One thing angryjoe has taught me ea will use wording to try to enhance the very minor tweaks they make. So,same old franchise, one team control and a clearer or more detailed menus.

They said revamped franchise mode so that means they will probably take a few features out and then reintroduced them in a future game and advertise them as new features.

The lateness of this cover and horrid trailer scares me. Anytime EA says "new" I think yes, a new word for the same old tech. Waiting with very suspicious eye. NHL14 was the last leap forward. The momentum has ended and we are regressing and aging faster than the Caps / Pens lineups.

EA will surprise me one day. NHL25. Looks like that's not the day.

If they took half the programmers and let them do work each year making thr game better, instead of 1,000 HUT cards. We could all finally see a better game. But HUT is king and us fans are serfs.

There are for sure going to go where the money is for sure. I certainly must be in the minority having not spent a dime on HUT. Sound like offline might again get some baby steps with the rivalry and keeping track of seasons series between clubs. And with this the only offering I certainly will get it scratch that NHL itch

Lightbulb Re: NHL 25 Roadmap and Deep Dive Schedule

After all the time I spent on creating a very detailed wishlist last year on here, and saw hundreds of great ideas from other OSers, I am going to be disappointed if not one of my 20 game improvements are added. I would settle for just having actual NHL coaches. Why they can't do this is ridiculous. Madden has them... Then on the other games like MLB The Show and NBA 2k, different platforms, but still, they have them. So we have one major sport that doesn't have actual professional coaches is absurd. And if coaches are added, each comes with a different dynamic, their style of game management and game play... This is Next Gen hockey, and as a Franchise fan, this NEEDS to be added.

Like I said, I had 20 plus suggestions, and you guys provided hundreds more and many are very doable... If they are all ignored, EA is giving us offline players the middle finger again and catering tho those that play HUT, hence the reason they add in Hut stuff into presales... Just give me a presale, that still gives me full 7 day access without the HUT stuff, that is what I want. I will not use HUT so I waste money on something just to get early access and a jump on roster creation.

Some of the other wishlist items I mention that would be nice, but Coaches to me is the one thing I would like to see, but others I think could have a chance: Mid-season All star weekend with teams being picked from actually gameplay stats in your franchise. Having the Winter Classic, the Stadium Series, or both. Having the Global Series at Rinks overseas. Three changes that would be easy to complete based on barns you have access to in other leagues in LaLiga and leagues like that, and now that EA has a plethora of stadiums from Madden to NCAA to choose from, add the outdoor games. A last item I think would be nice and give a deeper dive in Franchise, having full control minors, meaning, assign an ECHL team their NHL affiliate and give us as a GM role the opportunity to negotiate contracts with AHL and ECHL affiliates. If Toledo isn't working for me, give me the opportunity to create a deal with Cincinnati, or if Cleveland seems dried up give me the opportunity
to add another affiliate who is looking for a new NHL club.

When you move someone to the ECHL club now, they can not be added to their AHL affiliate in season, the only way you can have players who routinely find roster spots in the AHL or even in cases the NHL is have them as free agents, but then you take a chance they can get signed elsewhere. Just ridiculous a three-tier professional system is not available on Next Gen. Oh, and how nice it would be to have a new broadcast team with a partner affiliate like TNT, ESPN or the NHL Network to make the game look more like a true broadcast...

Re: NHL 25 Roadmap and Deep Dive Schedule

Coaches aren’t going in because they don’t want/have the budget to pay for the licensing for other the NHLCA or the individual coaches. Would like to see it, but they have so many other things to fix first, starting with the AI.
