I made one, and so far it's been pretty good. It's mostly geographic-based, with the exception of some lower teams in the Great Lakes areas having to be in the western conferences. There are just too many schools in the Ohio River Valley:

Tier 1 - B1G, XII, PAC, SEC

Tier 2 - MAC, Sun Belt, MWC, ACC

Tier 3 - AAC (MAC/ACC), C-USA (Sun Belt/MWC)

Tier 4 - Independents

One team from each division in Tier 1 moves down, with the top two Tier 2 teams from the related conference moving up (trying to stick with geography). Bottom team from each Tier 2 moves down, two teams from each Tier 3 conference moving up (one from each geographic area). Tier 4 can only move up if they make a bowl game.

With all of the terrible things I’ve read about scheduling and custom conferences, I have to ask how is the scheduling in your systems?

I'll be honest, I don't look to in depth at it as far as who plays whom and whether it's a rivalry game or whether it is an accurate out-of-conference game. However, I do notice that teams are playing the correct amount of conference games, per my conference instructions, so if that is what you're asking, then yes, it seems to be working.

It’s partially that, and it’s a huge one, but people are also seeing garbage like teams playing 8 road games in conference instead of 4.

They play each other in conference games, and schedule whatever they'd like OOC. Only conference standings matter in relegation and promotion.

The CFP is more like a Champions League than the playoff. The BIG game is the Premeire League Champ
