Mods that could massively improve NBA2k25 on PC

1. Excel draft class editor. With MyEras, draft classes are critical and for draft class editors like me. It takes such a long time to edit every single player. I would like if we had an excel spreadsheet of an draft class save and just edit it. Obviously it won't include appearance but if it includes ratings, badges, tendencies, etc. It would make bulk editing massively easier. This will also allow us to edit fields like Schools which may not be editable if the player school is not listed.

2. TV style editor. For eras, we got so many styles but the presentation is lacking and even the TV style is underwhelming. This is something I've seen mods do well already but having CBS in the 80s, NBA legit in the 90s. ESPN in the 2000s. NBA on TNT in the 2010s. Adds so much. Even adding ESPN, NBA TV, or TNT gives us presentation options. That would be so cool.

3. Mods that can enhance the AI of the CPU teams and their ability to draft, sign FA, trade, and build a team. This would totally enhance the long term build.

4. The biggest thing that irks me about MyEras is teams like the Hawks got upgraded jerseys but the arena is beginning of the Kobe era arena. I also hate that we can't wear jerseys and play in arenas designs from the previous eras as they do in the NBA. Nothing drives me more nuts.

1. I’ve already made a tool for converting spreadsheet data to 2K-valid data. I’ve only done it for attributes and tendencies though, since for badges I prefer using my badge generator (separate program), which also outputs to 2K-valid data.
2. Presentation is my specialty and I’ve finished basically everything up to 1990 (starting in 1946). Will continue to the present day NBA. If you’re talking about retro picture quality, there is ReShade that you can use, but personally I like 2K’s built-in Era filters (particularly the ‘90s one) better than any reshade I’ve come across.
3. This is the one thing that’s still kind of untouchable. It’s just baked too deeply into the game. “Modding it” would likely have to involve building external tools that essentially replace the default AI with an externally programmed one, but it’d be really hard to even duplicate the default AI, much less improve upon it.
4. These are non-issues on PC. You can freely assign likenesses, courts, stadiums, jerseys, etc. wherever.

oh you have? where can I find that? I was creating my own template for at least displaying the data from the 2k roster tool inside a google spreadsheet. but if you have developed such a tool that would be highly appreciated!

I'm sure your tool is going to take sometime to port to 2k25 because next gen version of 2k was definitely built from the ground up....

was the same with the jump from 2k14 to 2k15. i think the first real mods with had with 2k16 as it took some time for all the modders to adapt and find out how everything works.

Everything is in this thread: https://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopi...3686&p=2060874

It's not really a 'tool' in the sense of being an application. It's just a spreadsheet template with instructions for use.

I know you're joking around, but just FYI that I'll be able to update the above spreadsheet template as soon as the 2K25 roster editor is released (so I can see any changes in the formatting).

Re: Mods that could massively improve NBA2k25 on PC

Does 2K require a monster PC to play it on? We replaced my son’s 4 or 5 year old gaming PC for Christmas, and used it as an upgrade for our home office PC. I know it has an RTX 3090 graphics card and an intel i7 processor. I downloaded game pass on it and played Borderlands on it once and it ran smoothly.

Playing College Football 25 has me jonesing for some College Hoops. 2K PC is going to be next-gen this year so I imagine there will be a college hoops mod.
