The AI cheats in the 2nd Half

I’ve noticed how all of my turnovers seem to happen in the 3Q. You can call it halftime adjustments if you want but the AI on Heisman literally reads your play perfectly in the 2nd half of games. It will jump routes with guys that are in man with their backs turned. It’s seriously game breaking. I’m all for a challenge but don’t cheese me CPU or I’ll just resort to having to cheese play you back.

EA put effort into this game but unfortunately it’s a polished Madden at the moment.

The amount of hyperbole is really out of control here on OS.

I bought a different version of that game than you I guess. Haven't seen a single instance yet since release where I thought the AI was cheating.

It certainly does if you start simming the second half! A couple early season game I’ll jump out to 31- 10ish leads and sim and I’ll have to jump in late 4th qtr to try and hang to the fcs’s of the world

Re: The AI cheats in the 2nd Half

At least for me I haven’t noticed any obvious catch up logic, but I dont play on Heisman and fully play out my games, not sim. Since just finished about half my season games, I have been winning at half time in most of them, with decent margins, where the cpu hasn’t come close to catching me, nor do I feel things happened artificially. With that said, progressively through the game the cpu does adapt and if I continue to use the same plays over and over, the cpu does a better job defending them later in the game. So if I dominated running in the first half, I do have to better mix in pass in the second half if the cpu catches on, which I think is pretty realistic.

In modern sports - gaming something like a "enhanced AI" doesen't really exist. Old School-Scripts YES, but learning AI? No from my standpoint....Maybe with the "next gen consoles" we get realistic gameplay in NFL, NHL, NBA or MLB...but for this they must change the engine...

Must not be any Falcons fans on this bandwagon cause if there were....... we would tell you no lead is safe.

28-3 never forget.

This was always in the game, but I agree it is much worse in this release. I had a play where I had a DIG under a GO route in the slot. It was man coverage and I knew the DIG would come open soon after his cut, based on the defensive alignment. But the slot man had his man beat by 5 -- 7 yards. My QB did not have a big arm, so I wanted to hit the DIG underneath since I didn't expect my QB to his the go. I threw the DIG and the CB covering the slot stops, turns on a dime, and picks the ball off. No way that happens in real life because the CB is trying to catch up to the man who beat him.

I don't have much confidence we'll get a viable game this year. There is too much wrong with the game. I am not planning to buy next year's game at this point unless I see some major improvements this season. I think they have about a year and a half worth of bug fixes and enhancements.
