Man, I suck

I started a Dynasty with Ball State and put them in the Big 10 playing on All-American with the hopes of a rebuild or moving up to a bigger school. Currently sitting at 0-6, 24 INTs and can't do a darn thing. I'm a ****** player so I haven't dabbled with different playbooks and such yet but man why does this seem so hard.

It just seems like every pass play I'm getting sacked, running for my life, or throwing an INT that the CPU never drops.

On defense, every RB is breaking 6 tackles per run and there's zero coverage on my end. I've always been a DL control guy, mostly controlling LE/RE. On the rare occasion I beat the tackle, the guy I'm controlling immediately turns to break down mode rather than pursuit.

Kicking, as discussed, is impossible. I can time the perfect kick and somehow the ball is still shanked wider than any Miami/FSU game.

Do I just have a lot to learn again or is the game really this difficult?

Man, I suck

Most of our recent really obnoxious spam has been for “****** ******” sites. It’s annoying but that’s why both words are censored.

Edit - I didn’t think that through lol.

Re: Man, I suck

Passing in the middle is really easy and also the flats around like 5 yards from the line of scrimmage

Use drags slant's and in routes for the middle and out routes combined with go routes to expose the zone for the flats

On defense just use cover 1 shells with soft coverage the ai seems to focus on reading the middle early after the snap

The game is really hard to play against good teams. I am an okay player, moderately competent on All American difficulty, but I played FSU at their building the other night (as Baylor) and just got my doors blown off by like 4 TD's. Sometimes the game's momentum just starts rolling against you and you're helpless to stop it.

Try playing as a linebacker or safety, and let the line do its thing without you.

Re: Man, I suck

bpac55--I've done this since the NCAA Football titles, but when it comes to passing with a non-elite QB, treat the game like real life: start slow. Get your 2 C's up first--completions and confidence.

You might want to consider your first few passes to be a screen to your HB, one to the flats, a short dump off, etc.

Essentially (if you're struggling with passing), your first few passes shouldn't even be stick routes--just throws that are completions to get you going. And just like real life, when you get going, it opens things up for longer throws down the field.

Or try not playing at all on defense if you're not taking anything away from the offense you're just hurting your defense

Just focus on taking things away be it on d-line,LBs,DBs especially on d-line look at the front and your responsibility in setting the spacing and the edge

And in coverage aim to take away the quicker developing routes with a slight shade on your part controlling the LB or DB to give your line more time to stop playing patty cake
