Mediocre CPU teams Stacking Elite dev trait QBs in Dynasty

in year 4 of dynasty, Washington has 4 elite dev trait QBS and a Star QB, USC also has a lot of Elite QBs stacked, Georgia (who is 5 star program) Only has Impact players at QB, Gunner Stockton went pro last year he was only a impact. a lot of top schools are missing elite QBs while teams like Washington USC are stacking, is this realistic? it seems bizarre. it isn't like Washington or USC have won anything in my dynasty sim because they haven't in fact USC coach was on the hot seat for two years before being fired.

Seems realistic to me. It's not like only the top schools produce elite QB's. More elite QB's come from non-elite schools than the other way around. Often times in real life what keeps good teams from being great is not being able to land a star QB. And then you have guys like Lincoln Riley who seem to stack their QB rooms with elite guy after elite guy.

Didn't Alabama just get finished sending Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Bryce Young all to the NFL one after the other? Granted, Hurts was a transfer, but still.

Makes sense to me. USC seems to regularly put QBs in the NFL so it makes sense they get the best ones. Plus their main pipeline also regularly churns out great QBs too so it's a strong synergy there. I'm sure schools like BC and Wisconsin should be pumping out elite OL too since that is kind of their whole deal. Add in prestige factors and the best talent should be going to the biggest programs.

where are the QBs from? If they're from the West Coast, it's because the game engine is pushing players to schools in the pipeline instead of the best schools. Also the AI overrecruits to fill needs.

Stacking can happen in real life but 5-star recruiting and QB recruiting should be more national among the top prospects.

I'm not saying a Elite QB from California won't go to USC, but in real life, prospects know only 1 QB can get on the field at a time.

There a several recent examples of QBs going outside the "pipeline"

CJ Stroud (California) - Ohio State
Bryce Young (California) - Alabama
Caleb Williams (Washington, DC) - Oklahoma then USC
Michael Penix (Florida) - Indiana then Washington
Tua (Hawaii) - Alabama

2025 Recruiting Class also demonstrates this

Bryce Underwood (Michigan) - LSU
Tavien St Claire (Ohio) - Ohio State
Keelon Russell (Texas) - Alabama
Husan Longstreet (California) - Texas A&M
Deuce Knight (Mississippi) - ND
