Transfer portal?

I have some questions about transfer portal:
is there a way to influence which players go to transfer portal? what is the system? Or is it just random?
and why most of the players on the transfer portal are blocked? I can’t approach them. Is there way to change this?

I haven't reached the offseason yet, but my understanding is that you influence players to transfer as one of the steps of the offseason, and it acts like cutting players did in old games. Only now, the players actually remain in the Dynasty universe and join another team instead of disappearing.

Also, players will enter the transfer portal if their deal breakers aren't met by your team. Say, for example, a QB on your team has a playing time deal breaker, and he requires an A grade for that. However, last season, he rode the pine as QB3 because you recruited 2 other QBs that were ahead of him on the depth chart, he's likely going to transfer.

I assume that players in the portal that are blocked have deal breakers that your team cannot satisfy. I don't believe there's a way to approach them or change their minds when it comes to deal breakers and being locked out. I also think that some transfer portal guys will already have a list of top schools set when they enter the portal, so if you don't fall into that Top 3, 5, or 8, you'll be locked out.

I don't believe the players you encourage to transfer stay in the game. I tried to see if a RT I encouraged stayed in the game and I couldn't find him in the transfer players.

Interesting...I thought I saw on one of the YouTuber videos where they did see their transfer-encouraged players on other teams.

Could be..I only tested one guy and he was a lower rated guy so maybe some players don't stay in the game. I'll have to keep an eye on another player next offseason.

I see now you can try to force players to leave but only after the transfer portal is closed which is odd. The player is then gone from the game I have the idea. why isn’t there the possibility to just cut players throughout the season and players can then be picked during transfer portal?
Also strange it’s already decided which players you can approach in transfer portal. They could have still let us try to change their mind.

They do stay in the game. But they need to a certain level of overall.

Most of the time, if they are a Freshman or a Sophomore with a 70+ rating.

You will find them in the transfer portal leaving their prior team because they were too good for that team they transferred too.

Had a QB who was like 78 overall. Ended up encouraging them to transfer. Saw them in the transfer portal the next following off-season and saw that he played for ODU.

Ah so you wait till next season to find them. Really odd ea let’s you force players to leave after the transfer portal closes. And there is no way to influence where go right? Just completely random where they end up?
