Pipeline Question?

I started a dynasty with a created head coach who's pipeline i set to big apple which I'm assuming is the NY/NJ pipeline mentioned in the deep dive. I took the job at New Mexico to start my career however when I go to recruit and cycle by state none of the players in New York or New Jersey have the pipeline symbol. Is this a glitch or is it because my pipeline is so far away from the school I'm at? I was under the impression that your school had its own pipeline and each coach on your staff has their own pipeline.

Am I missing something?

There ought to be a screen where we can see our school/coaching staff pipelines in a heat map fashion.

Yes I wish there was a map of the US like the old games. Cycling through the menus is fine but having a visual representation of the map was always neat and made it easier to target the states closest to your school without having to cycle through 50 things lol.

I believe the pipeline column only displays the school's pipeline level and the coach's pipeline just helps gain influence with recruits from that area but doesn't show as an actual tier.

I may be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Hmmm so choosing a pipeline that doesn't match your school's pipeline is pointless? I mean I didn't expect to get many recruits from New York to come to New Mexico but I thought it would be an interesting wrinkle and back story for my coach.
