Hum/CPU QB Inaccuracy Find

I'm loving the game but I have an issue with every QB I play with throwing accurate passes all the time...deep passes, pressure in their face, etc. Each one of my QBs rate anywhere between 79 and 84 are with 84 and 89 SAC respectively are not missing any throws at all..SMH.

I went to dynasty mode and went to practice, lowered the. HUM accuracy down to 0 and I only threw 10 yard outs. I never got an off target throw. Keep in mind I was using revamped passing. What I did notice was as I lowered the accuracy slider all my throws were in the red. They were all caught but I noticed the windows for the blue and yellow bar was tighter and a shorter with the bar moving a little faster.

I switched to classic passing and ...BAM!!! I was finally seeing the bail sail out of bounds totally uncatchable for the receiver. Obviously I had to change the slider so I settled on:

37 for Hum Accuracy

Try it and let me know what you think. This test was done on All-American, classic passing, with Mertz (89 SAC) and I was seeing about 1 overthrow every 10 throws which is what I was looking for. For example, if a QB has 80 SAC, he should complete 80% of his passes; 2 throws out of 10 should be overthrown.

I have all other sliders at default . Hopefully, this will give you more realistic QB play for both cpu and human and every deep throw or short will not be perfect every time you throw.

Great find. I was also irritated with seemingly every deep ball being perfectly accurate so I lowered hum accuracy while keeping revamped passing on. Like you said, it increases the likelihood of the pass going yellow or red. The issue I have with this is that it seems when you get a red, it is almost always on target but low and maybe a little bit behind. Almost never high, too far in front or a complete miss - strangely enough, it seems that yellow passes have a bit more variance than red. I have seen over throws that my receiver couldn't touch, high passes, etc. Which, honestly, makes sense given your success with the classic passing because I believe both "yellow passes" and classic passing are calculated solely by the players ratings.

Anyway, I'm going to give the classic passing a shot - thanks for the info

I'm using Classic, playing on All American with Colorado and I get bad throws. Obviously Shadeur Sanders is one of the best QBs in the game but not everything is dead on, especially when I throw down the field.

Nice..the only issue I see now is CPU QBs. I've been adjusting cpu accuracy all the way down to 0 but I'm not seeing many overthrows. I saw overthrows in practice mode on dynasty for the user so I don't quite understand that...smh

You are correct.

I switched to classic from revamp just yesterday to test things out in effort to get more off target throws.

I'm beginning to think the issue is that the Wr's are all magnets they catch everything.

Even if a pass is off target you won't notice it much because the wr's are damn near perfect.

It's almost like the defenders because you don't see many drop picks until you start lowering the INT slider down significantly.

10 & 40 is where I'm currently testing. I'm tempted to try 5 accuracy because I've used that so often over the years in madden and it definitely pushes the limits on your QB ratings.

Good QBs can still effectively throw darts because EA rates them so high.

Obviously if you utilize the lower accuracy you'll want to balance it with a good pass block setting. The trick is to get the game to force errant throws occasionally without a QB under pressure

Yeah there are definitely issues, what I'm going to do c moving forward is document the errant throws as I play in dynasty on all-american and give their ratings so we can see if we can accomplish the off target throws. I'm going to begin with both cpu/Hum at 37 accuracy

I'm actually at 5 for both using Classic passing. I copied over some of my madden settings

I used 20 with Revamp all week that felt good but I had to increase CPU pass coverages

At 5 I now I'm seeing some awesome pass break ups and the AI QB's actually throw realistic off target passes without me having to get pressure on them sometimes.

I played South Carolina and saw a beautiful sideline pass to their stud WR sail right over his head lol

That was the 1st time I saw that animation because he jumped but didn't get up high enough to get to it

Nice, you might be right about accuracy at 5. I have it at 37 and although I saw off target throws in practice mode, I'm through 3 quarters in Texas(cpu) 14 vs Michigan( me) 17 and have yet to see an off target throws. I have only seen pass breakups and knockouts. I think I'll make the change to 5 as well and see what happens
