Defensive Player Control??

So, right or wrong, in games past, I've controlled the LB and don't touch the sticks until after the play really gets going, In the past, the player would perform his assignment (Zone, man, blitz); in 25 I leave the stick alone and the player just stands there. Is this the way now, is there a setting I don't know about, is it from pre-snap crowd hyping rolling over into post-snap control issues.


Who can help figure this out??

Been that way for years with Madden. Just hold down L1 and he will go to his assignment.

I just tried this, but it didn’t work. The CPU controlled my guy rather than him just standing still, but it always makes him man up with the nearest receiver. I even tried it with a FS playing a deep zone, but he still immediately charged the line of scrimmage to cover some receiver there.
