CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

I’m patiently waiting for release date. I know when the game drops there will be a specific thread about Dynasty talk and I can’t wait. In the mean time, I wanted to talk about everyone’s plans for Dynasty.

Who you starting with? Any specific “building plans”? Will you limit yourself on where or how you can recruit? Or with it being a new game, are you just gonna start a dynasty and see what happens to kind of get a feel for everything?

Re: CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

I am definitely in the camp of "are you just gonna start a dynasty and see what happens to kind of get a feel for everything?". The last game I played was NCAA 13, when I was 16 years old. So I am looking to come into CFB 25 with a completely blank slate and figure it out as I go.

For my first dynasty, I am sure like many others, I will be starting with a small program. I haven't decided yet, but I am down to starting with one of UTEP, Colorado State, Wyoming, or ECU. I am a uniform nerd so I am probably going to make a final call when I can check out what uniform combos made it in for these teams.

At some point I will be playing dynasty with Kansas. I might see if I get an offer from them in my first dynasty 5-7 or so season out and decide whether jump over or start a second dynasty purely to play as KU.

Re: CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

My vision for my Dynasty is to incorporate all of the elements that give me myself the most enjoyable experience, even if it means not being overly realistic. Those elements include:

1) Being able to spectate games other than my teams.

2) Being able to oversee and cover the entire dynasty landscape while coaching my own team within that landscape.

Finding a way to do those things within the parameters and limits that EA has given, is the task at hand. Based on the information that I know right now, we can only control 32 teams, and we'll probably only be able to spectate User games. So, as of now, here are my plans.

1) I will be taking over the head coaching job at Georgia Southern.

2) MY customized college football universe will see all Group of Five break away from Power 4/5 and become the Alliance Football Athletic Association.

3) 32 selected Group of Five teams will be a part of the Alliance with 2 16 team conference, with the Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA housing the teams(they have a bowl tie-in together(New Orleans Bowl) which will serve as the AFAA Championship Game.

4) The remaining 30 teams will be disbursed between the other Group of Five Conferences(4 teams to a conference), Independent, and a few will move up to P5 to replenish the Pac-12.

5) Each team will have custom non-conference schedules. Any team that have original scheduled games against a P5 opponent, that game will be replaced with one of the 30 teams not selected to the Alliance or an FCS opponent.

6) No P5 involvement whatsoever if I can help it.

That's Dynasty Plan #1

************************************

Dynasty Plan #2 at some point will be to do a regular Dynasty with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Re: CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

Originally I was planning on having 2 separate dynasty files. The first was going straight to Texas and trying to create a legit dynasty by trying to win the natty season 1 out the gates and recruiting all of the top players. Then create a dynasty file for UTEP to try to build the program up as I expect that to be more of a challenge.

But after reading the deep dive I am conflicted as I now think of the possibility of starting at UTEP with the hopes of eventually getting the opportunity to get hired at Texas all within one file.

I am definitely doing one or two as test runs just to see how everything works. I want to make sure I am fully aware of how all the recruiting intricacies are interwoven with each other.

After doing my test runs, I plan on creating one main Dynasty with 15-20 of all the teams I am interested in using.

I’m right there with you when it comes to uniforms. Wyoming and ECU are on my radar as well. And after seeing the dynasty deep dive, UTEP uniforms look great.

I personally want to start my first dynast with one of the “new” teams; and I say that as any of the new teams that weren’t in NCAA14. I think my two front runners right now are Kennesaw St or Sam Houston state. Especially after see the stadium sizes, something about trying to packing a full house of 8,000-14,000 sounds enjoyable for some reason lol. I’m leaning Sam
Houston State, maybe recruiting some lesser talent from Texas, helping them at least get some conference championships and hopefully land in the cfp in 5-7 years. Maybe I’m being too optimistic but I hope it’s a real challenge

Re: CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

I still haven't decided yet.

I usually start as a 1* team, or the worst rated team. in NCAA 14, I did a long dynasty with UMASS, but as a Head Coach the whole way.

was thinking maybe starting as an OC, maybe at Texas Tech. First year would be fun with Tahj Brooks coming back for senior year. then after a season or 2 seeing what 1* school needed a head coach and going from there.

but I really need to see all the team Prestige rankings, look around at the schools uniforms and stadiums before deciding.

Re: CFB25 Pre-Release Dynasty Talk

I plan on doing one Dynasty where it's just me and one Online Dynasty with some friends and people I work with. With my solo Dynasty I plan on starting with a group of 5 school (probably ODU since that is my alma mater). The biggest thing I've been trying to decide with my solo dynasty is how I will handle re-alignment as I currently have three different plans that are unique in their own way. But in terms of recruiting I mostly plan to recruit in-state as the main priority then branch out from there, probably staying on the East coast and possibly dipping into the Midwest. After building up the program to their full potential I will probably take a P5 job that appeals to me (maybe stay in-state and head to UVA or Virginia Tech) and just keep rocking and rolling.

For my Online Dynasty depending on who everyone else picks I'll just go with a P5 school but have to figure out if I want to go with one I have to put some resources into rebuilding or do I pick one that I can just dominate with from the jump lol
