Fictional Scenario Released: National Basketball Federation

Hey, everyone. This is my first real attempt at something like this, but I've created a fully fictional league. It's set in the Jordan Era. Ratings and badges are scaled down a good deal vs the normal rosters in-game. It likely isn't perfect, but I have spent 5 months on it and feel confident enough in it to release it to the public.

The onlineID is KennyCannon. The scenario name is 1991 NBF (fictional league). Scenario is complete with all traded draft picks, all untouchables, targets and trade block. It is also complete with coaching philosophies for simulated games. All adjusted league rules are noted in the spreadsheet below as well.

The league is set to play more as a 90's style game than a modern NBA in the sense that a greater portion of teams are post-centric, much less 3's are taken, overall shooting percentages and scores are much lower etc etc etc. I've simulated roughly 50 times with varying results, though none straying too far from what the overall goal was with the league.

The rosters themselves are paired with fictional coaches as well, though admittedly not all 27 teams have a fully fictional coaching staff. All logos were generated with over 1,000 AI Prompts and I manually created each uniform for all 27 teams.

The league is not in it's inaugural season, and that is laid out in this spreadsheet here along with league lore as well as storylines for the upcoming season for all 27 teams. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=501420756

As I said, there is bound to be something that is not perfect. I'm more than willing to take criticism and build upon what I believe is an excellent base for a fictional world not just for NBA 2k24, but for upcoming games as well as long as there can be a good community built around the National Basketball Federation.

Any and all questions are welcome

Awesome! Feel free to provide some feedback. I’m eager to hear what some people think.

I will selfishly say that I originally did this for myself as opposed to the community, but the more depth that came to the league the more I wanted to share it with others. And there seems to be a void in the sports gaming community in general with fictional rosters, so I’ll follow in the footsteps of SimWorld & Bacon before me. I’m just excited to hear some other people’s thoughts and stories as they play through.

So at a glance the players look phenomenal, you have alot and I mean really deep history with these teams, that will make for even deeper draft prospects in the future, this could easily go 15 years+ generated.

The one thing I'm confused on is the actually slider stuff, usually in scenarios the creator will implement the sliders and settings within the setup.

Where I'm not understanding is, did you mean to leave everything set to Allstars default?

I downloaded your spreadsheet and I see the slider setting, but what's loaded in your actual scenario and what's on the sheet doesn't match, and I don't even see where you could input that stuff in the game because usually all that is done before starting the actually season.

You can implement the settings and save your settings under a name you wish, then allow others to use the settings you would like to match your season.

Until I here from you about this, I chose pop boy's 90s sliders and seasonal setup for pace n possession setup.

Other than that the roster as I said is extremely deep and will take an extremely amount of time to learn players and there skills.

Outstanding imo.

Ty again.

I knew I was bound to forget something! To be fair though, I haven't established a perfect slider set directly for gameplay yet. Not one I'd be proud of sharing, anyhow. Popboy's 90's sliders absolutely work. It's not what I'm using for the time being just because I wanted to try something from scratch, but I would vouch for others using those sliders at least until I'm able to nail down a set that I'm comfortable with. To be clear though, you're only not seeing *gameplay* sliders, correct? the mynba sliders are active?

I appreciate the feedback though! If you happen to notice any inconsistencies with the spreadsheet/game please don't hesitate to say so. I'm wanting this to be to best it can be, so I don't expect everything to be positive.

Ok so it's all good My man you have done an amazing job and I'm telling you next to MJWizards this is the most detailed roster I have ever seen on these boards and that's not knocking no one here, this community has some down right top creators, but what I'm seeing in your roster is absolutely fire!

I stumbled and I do mean stumbled across someone's 90s sliders. Look up the name BrewserBrian under sliders you'll see like 5 or 6 downloads, these sliders are incredible.

I combined those sliders and input pop boys 90 sliders I found someone labeled. For some reason the sliders you inputed into my league aren't what's showing on the spreadsheet and that's what got me originally coming to you about all of this.

But imo those sliders with pop's league settings...sheesh..

Now what I did was go into options and just gameplay to Superstar came out, and went into the options tab, general hit (Triangle) for ps, load up the settings then go back to options then sliders load those up and save!

I'll have to check those sliders out! I actually did have the league sliders imported. Or at least it seems that way when I load into a new scenario? The sliders page of the spreadsheet was very out of date and I actually just went ahead and removed that portion.

As for in-game sliders I will definitely check out those sliders! Like I said, I am by no means a slider savant. I would like to find a good base. Starting from scratch is such a tedious process lol.
