Pipelines

I noticed in the screen where you build your coach there are options for first and last name and several options including pipeline. Apparently each school will already have a pipeline and I'm guessing teambuilder will include a pipeline for the school.

I also noticed in the deep dive they said different geographic areas will have different types of players. They mentioned Florida having fast small receivers while one of the 3 Texas pipelines will feature larger receivers. I wonder if we will get information regarding what type of players each pipeline produces prior to picking the pipeline for coach and teambuilder school. That would be good information to have.

Re: Pipelines

In the old NCAAs there used to be a USA map as part of recruiting and your pipelines would have a different color. Would be nice if that was back in the game and the different pipelines had a tooltip describing that pipeline's strength.

I agree and since some of the menus look the same as NCAA 14 I suspect we will get something along those lines.

What's new about pipelines is now the user created coach has a pipeline in addition to the school pipeline. What's also new is the pipeline doesn't change. It is permanent. In 14 only the school had pipelines and they changed depending on the number of players on the roster from a state.

What's unknown is whether the coach pipeline and the school pipeline stack. We know head coach and coordinator attributes stack. If pipelines stack we could use the same state as a pipeline for coach and school and get 100 points instead of 50. For example if I have Missouri as both coach and school pipeline assuming Missouri only has 1 pipeline I get 100 points for every recruit in the state. If a recruit has the proximity to home motivation we could pitch that and with the 100 bonus points for pipeline we would have a big advantage in recruiting the state.

I'm guessing in teambuilder you pick your pipeline(s) when you create the school and then are locked in. It's great that they took so much time to add this much depth.

Hopefully, user created a guide for the pipelines. I’m probably not the only one who has no clue what pipeline has the best recruits for certain positions. There’s going to be a lot of trial error, with recruiting.

I expect we are all going to want pipelines to California Texas and Florida .

Good question. at 4:21 of the video on the create coach screen you see an option to select pipeline. How that applies as a coordinator isn't known but you clearly will get to choose a pipeline.

What's interesting is the big states have multiple pipelines now. Texas has 3. I don't think they said how many pipelines each school gets. It appears the coach gets 1. As I said in an earlier post we don't know if the coach pipeline and the school pipeline(s) stack. That would give a nice boost. I think pipeline in 14 was +50 per week. If you could stack and get it to +100 that could be a difference maker with some recruits.
