Athletic Facilities vs Academic Prestige

In the deep dive it specifically says:

Athletic Facilities: This grade measures the quality of athletic facilities for the program. Waterfalls and barbershops are a plus here.

Academic Prestige: This ranks all universities based on real world academic rankings. This grade cannot be changed.

So they clearly specified that you can’t change the academic prestige, but didn’t say you couldn’t change the athletic facilities…does this mean we can upgrade stadiums in dynasty? This is probably wishful thinking, but if this is in the game it will be HUGE.

No, not at all. It’s possible that continued success will cause the facilities grade to inch up to account for things like more donors donating more workout facilities or whatever. It’s got nothing to do with the stadium.

It’s also possible that it can’t change and they just didn’t mention it.

If we could, it'd likely have been mentioned in the blog. Odds are that the more you win, the more that grade improves.

I doubt you can upgrade the stadium itself, but the fact that they mentioned waterfalls and barbershops being a plus suggests that maybe athletic facilities can be upgraded in some way. Maybe by winning you generate more revenue that you can allocate to different things and this is one of them?

I think this is wishful thinking, but would be cool.

I expect the facilities to be nothing more than a letter grade that may linearly increase over time with player success. Like others said, maybe to represent more donor money for new off field amenities.

Its kind of a mild surprise to me the lower prestige schools would be okay with this, unless the lowest grade possible is B lol.

Re: Athletic Facilities vs Academic Prestige

In NCAA Football 14, if I recall correctly the Athletic Facilities grade changed relative purely to team wins and losses in combination with a background dice roll. It wasn't something which could be directly "upgraded" per se.

Since the Dynasty blog didn't mention anything about managing athletic department dollars or modifying stadiums, but the blog did specifically mention that the only pitches which can't change are Academic Prestige and Campus Lifestyle, I assume that there will be a similar working-in-background mechanic which affects the progression and regression of this specific pitch grade in EASCFB 25 as well.

Re: Athletic Facilities vs Academic Prestige

I could have sworn that in a previous game we could change Academic Prestige by recruiting high (or low) GPA players but that could be a fever dream.
