Is there a Way?

Is there a way or a workaround to be able to add a player to your Franchise, if they didn't exist when you started your Franchise? Example: Jose Iglesias from the Mets.
I started my Franchise back in May and Iglesias wasn't on the roster, nor a FA.

How can I get Iglesias on my current Franchise? Is there a work around? Any help would be appreciated!!

No, you can't import into an existing franchise. What I've done is edited an existing low rated free agent to match the player you want to bring in.

I did that with a couple of players who have created models on the live roster, wrote down the physical attributes and then edited a player on my franchise. Jose Iglesias unfortunately doesn't have editable physical attributes to change. And my creation of him looks ridiculous! Thank you for the response.

Check the vault. Could be a better CAP there that you could replicate.

It’s ridiculous this option is still not in the show.

I'm not sure about Madden but this is actually a big feature in NBA 2k. If a player gets added in a later roster update you can Export their "DNA" and import it into the Create a Player screen in Franchise. It will even import their player portrait and years of experience if they have it to they don't show up as a rookie. It's a major lifesaver.
