Player comes up in player search but isn't actually on roster.

Has anyone come across this? I was just searching if Grant Holmes was in the game for the Braves and he came up on player search in their Double A affiliate. However, I go to their Double A team and he's nowhere to be found. I tried to click on him again in player search to see if I could trade him and it didn't even give me the option. I don't believe I've seen anything like this before. Anyone to "free" him?

Players sometimes dont show up in the transaction UI unless they're already called up to at least AAA

But he's not showing up on the roster at all. Only when I do a player search. He even has a player portrait.
