Rank the Nine Conferences

Set aside the PAC and Independents for now. What order do you rank the nine conferences based on how tough it will be to win in CFB25?

the big four:
ACC - 83.47
Big 10 - 84.16
Big 12 - 82.93
SEC - 85.62

group of five:
AAC
CUSA
MAC
Mountain West
Sunbelt

Re: Rank the Nine Conferences

1. SEC (has been more top-heavy than the Big Ten which makes it harder to win)
2. Big Ten
3. ACC (probably a weaker conference than B12 top-to-bottom, but I think the top of FSU and Clemson would be harder to beat)
4. Big 12
5. AAC (losing so many good schools has hurt it and I think it overdid it on the additions minus UTSA, but having 2 option schools may make it tougher in-game)
6. Sun Belt (kinda crazy where this conference is given it was the weakest in NCAA 14, but it's added so many good football schools in the past 10 years. The one good thing about recent realignemt, I think this conference sounds so fun to play in, truly the Fun Belt)
7. MWC (historically good conference, but the end of Boise St dominance makes it slightly easier I think)
8. C-USA (the weakest conference overall but I think Liberty alone could make it tougher to win than the MAC)
9. MAC

Re: Rank the Nine Conferences

1 SEC anyone of 11 diff teams could win the sec
2 B10 u have 4 big schools here ohio st org mich penn st and maybe usc iowa

3 B12 is better than acc the only reason the acc is still kicking at this point is the contact plus 8 diff teams could win the big 12
4 ACC its just FSU MIAMI and CLEM and those 3 schools want to leave
5 AAC best g5 tulane is a sleeping giant
6 SUN BEIT other than app state troy and maybe louisans everyone else is lucky to be in 1-a
7 MW this is where wash st and the beavers will end up
8 MAC 1-aa
9 C-USA also 1-aa even if liberty goes 12-0 their league is too weak

Feel like I’m the first person to have Big 10 > SEC and Big12 > ACC.

Let’s argue about it.

My relegation system is based on conference expansion / movement

1: B1G (6-0) Added Maryland from the ACC, Nebraska from the B12, and USC, UCLAm Oregon, and Washington from the Pac-12.
2; SEC (4-0) Added Texas A&M, Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma from the B12.
3: ACC (2-1) Added Cal and Stanford form the Pac-12, lost Maryland.
4 Big 12 (3-5) Lost Nebraska, Texas A&M, Missouri, Texas, Okalhoma Added Arizona, Arizona State, Utah
Pac-12: Yeah.
American (Rutgers, Louisville, UCF, Houston, Cincinnati are P5)
Mountain West (Utah and TCU are P5)
Sun Belt (recently raided C-USA)
C-USA traditionally the source of AAC replacements
MAC No movement.

Rank the Nine Conferences

Clearly B10 > SEC. SEC is top heavy, B10 has depth of competition. SEC has the biggest national title contender, but it doesn’t make it the best overall conference. I’d take Ohio State and Oregon over every non-Georgia SEC team.

B10
SEC
B12
ACC
SB
AAC
MW
MAC
CUSA

Both of the remaining P12 teams I’d take over every G5 conference. A couple of teams might be beyond them. But I’d wager Liberty would’ve gotten smacked by either Wazzu or the Beavs last year.

Edit 12/29: With hindsight, I was VERY correct about B10 > SEC, and I'd take OSU and Oregon over ALL SEC teams. I'd take some B12 over SEC this year too. P12 won 3 conferences this year.
