Why MLB The Show Is The Best Sports Franchise

The way I go about judging how good a sports game is, is does the on the field/court play accurately represent what I see in the real life sport? Also, is the game immersive? Does it make big moments feel big like they are in real games? Is there a celebration of historic milestones etc.? MLB The Show does that and then some. Last night, I broke a historic record, and part of the excitement was seeing how the game would celebrate it. As I kept getting closer to the record, the announcers would talk about it more and more, it wasn't lost on them. Then when I finally broke it, what happened was so cool!!






This is my 4th year in my current RTTS. We won the World Series my second year, and to see the celebration was so cool as well. Other sports Franchises would do well to take notes of this because this game makes you feel like you actually accomplished something when you do something special.

Gameplay and realism is what I love, and brings me back every year.
I tweak for realism: sliders/settings/difficulty/camera angles etc etc against my skill level.
I download and maintain (all 30 control, trades ,lineups etc.) current real life rosters for my ongoing 2024 Mets offline Franchise.
I play all 162 on quick counts. I don't care/worry about sets, seasons, cards, grinds, captains, rankings. I have so much fun every year playing this game.

2014-2023 MLBTS no doubt the best series. But from 2024 tuntil the forseeable future? I think we're going to find EA CFB gives Sony a run for their money.

I completely agree with this. Plus the fact that there are 130+ teams to play with or against, the game will never get old.
