Pass Interference - In or not this year ?

Out of all of the articles yesterday I don't remember any of them speaking about penalties being called or if any new ones were added. More specifically if pass interference would actually be called. Madden 16 was the last time it was actually called on a regular basis and I forgot which was the last game that actually had defensive holding penalty.

The only penalty mentioned directly was targeting and that it's not in the game.

16 was the last Madden to have defensive holding.It seems to be a decision by EA to nerf penalties since the beginning of '21 I believe.

They would have to have changed their philosophy on this hopefully as they have gotten complaints on this the last couple of years.We'll probably just have to wait and see.

There should definitely be more penalties in the college game than there are in the pro game...especially with this Home Field and Stadium Pulse Feature that's in the game. Players being rattled should include making penalties. It only makes sense.

I think even if Ea wants to limit penalties with their default settings for gameplay that's OK.

But they should have working sliders that allow the user to dictate how they want penalties to be called.

Madden was a flat out lie by EA saying Penalties were based off real data for that game 😂

I understand being all "giddy" and excited with the return of the college game, but at some point you would think that SOMEbody would either ask EA/Tiburon or take the initiative to check to see if there are actual penalties in the game.

There are numerous early impressions all about, and while I haven't read every one of them, I was hoping the inclusion of penalties would have been mentioned somewhere by now.

There have been people who have said there are more penalties called, especially because of HFA or a player being rattled. But if they didn’t redesign or at minimum turn on every penalty like it used to be then that’ll be a huge disappointment.

It’s sad that it’s gotten to this point in madden where MUTheads and “Comp” players cry so much to make the game play like NFL Street and the devs listen to them when the game is supposed to be a simulation of the professional sport.

Hoping that HFA triggers auto false starts and offsides/neutral zone infractions, being rattled can trigger both offensive and defensive PI and Holding calls, and the rest of the reasonable penalties are called in general as well. We’ll see tomorrow
