2024 Offseason Thread

Offseason officially begins for half of the teams and we’ve already had a few coaching changes take place.

Don’t know anything about him to form any type of real opinion.

I just know the bar is real low for what I want to see him accomplish, depending on what the plan is going forward.

Huh???

Quote:
Sources: The NBA Board of Governors has discussed a proposal that the round to which a team advances in the NBA Cup would be used as the first postseason tiebreaker. League is polling GMs on NBA Cup advancement vs. head-to-head result as first tiebreaker to bring for final vote.
Quote:
GMs will choose among options, per sources: 1) NBA Cup as first postseason tiebreaker, 2) NBA Cup as second tiebreaker (after head-to-head) and third in ties involving more than two teams, 3) advancement to NBA Cup as first tiebreaker and further advancement as third/fourth.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

The Warriors not having their 1st round pick from the Andre Ig salary dump a few years back looks like its a bigger deal now. I bet Memphis might want a redo as they traded that in the Smart deal.

Will be interesting to see what happens as it seems clear they need to make some big changes. The NBA has changed and they need more size and to move some of the high salaries.

The Charlotte Hornets are interviewing JJ Redick for their head coaching job, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The 15-year NBA veteran and former Duke star has shown an interest in making a coaching jump in recent years.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread

So what do yall say is the general trade value for Trae Young? This seems like the first offseason where I could finally get my wish.

Because I see lakers fan not wanting to include Austin Reeves in any trade. The Spurs fans don't want to include like Keldon Johnson or give back the draft picks.

The media is going to talk about the garbage lakers offer and that's a 2K trade not a realistic one. Remember Atlanta can't just tank as San Antonio controls their draft pick for the next 3 years. The teams that make sense are limited however The Spurs and Magic both seems like good fits with a bunch of assets to trade for him.
