Newbie Questions: RTTS

Finally got a PS5 about 2 weeks ago, and bought The Show for the first time in a long, long time. I play exclusively offline, either franchise or RTTS, and with my main Show reference probably being the 2015 iteration, I have questions.

1. In RTTS, you used to use stubs to upgrade your player. It doesn’t appear that that is the case any longer. So how do you improve your player’s ratings? Is it just done automatically based on game performance?
2. If RTTS player progression is automatic based on performance, then what are stubs used for?
3. What is the difference between XP and Stubs, and what are they for?

Attributes increase and decrease based on performance, or equipment with attribute boosts.


The only way stubs are tied to the mode now is buying equipment, stubs don't do anything else in RTTS anymore.
