Is it just me, whenever the ball bounces around the rim, the shot would never ever go in, it WOULD FOR SURE rims out?

Yeah it’s been like that for years now. It’s almost comical how the ball will roll off the rim defying all laws of gravity and motion.

no it's not!
it's been a thing in 2K23 until one of the patches fixed it, but before 2k23 it wasn't an issue.
this year it's an issue again with like 90% of shots made (mid-range and 3pt attempts) are swishes.

I play college hoops 2k8 a lot so I was shocked when I started playing 2k24 the lack of variety in ball physics. In CHOOPS that ball can bounce of the rim then the top of the back board then go in.

kinda funny how when we go bak to older games they have a lot of common sense stuff that should be in todays games

I can only speak for 2K23 and 2K24 but I have noticed the game has leaned toward having a high volume swish rate. Seems they struggle to strike a realistic balance because I remember a patch coming through last year and suddenly swishes became pretty rare, which didn't feel authentic either.
