Not as far as I know. You could use the 2K8 editor, but you can't directly move players from classic teams to normal teams, as that will crash Franchise Mode. So it's going to be a bit of a convoluted process to export the players from one save and then re-import them into another so the editor recreates them correctly. 2K8 is also a difficult game to learn.
If all you really want is to play with a different roster, you could look for rosters from previous years. Not sure what's available for 2K7. For 2K8, I've released rosters for 1995, 2005, and 2017-2019 that I can confirm are compatible with Franchise Mode (and were designed for the PS3). There are also a few others floating around that may or may not be as compatible.
It's a shame there isn't more support for 2K7; it was a really solid and unique entry in the series.
