Lack of challenge on All-Pro Theory

So I’ve been playing with speed threshold at 95 then 75. I was dominating on All-Pro but could do nothing on All-Madden. Switched up a couple things mainly dropping speed back to default on 50. Have had way more challenge tonight. I’ve been the lower rated team the Bears and Titans who are both not good offenses so maybe that’s more of it but just something to try if you had a high speed threshold and not getting a challenge.

Interesting... I play on All Pro and honestly, it is very competitive for me. I feel as thought I have finally found that balance in gameplay that I never had it previous games.

Yes. I think I’m going to post my sliders. I was winning every single game regardless of ratings and I played 4 more games tonight with my new set and am seeing good results. I’ve had the other sliders similar before but they didn’t seem to make much difference until I adjusted speed threshold so I think that’s the catalyst. At least for me.

Probably not 100% sim accurate (bad qbs are a little better than expected) but at this point I’m just looking for a challenge where higher ranked teams generally win.

Plus it’s been more fun having to be locked in.

All-Pro is kicking my tail. I either squeak out a W or get blown out.

First time since PS2/cpu gen I had to work this hard for it.

I’m very interested in hearing what sliders folks are using who are playing AP and finding it competitive. I can’t handle AM default right now and would love for there to be a viable AP alternative that doesn’t force you to play with your hands tied behind your back.

If anyone has anything good they’re willing to share via PM, I’d love to try them on an NDA .

My issue when looking at AP is that the CPU QB seems to go brain dead and run around and take unnecessary sacks or throw dumb picks. I tried a leading AP set last night and had this issue.

I think it’s tied to how the CPU QB reacts when a pass block is defeated, and I almost wonder if the answer is not so much QBA for the CPU but PBK.

In any case, I’m interested to learn more here.

Are you seeing issues with all QB’s all the time? I ask because I played Jets vs Cowboys(me) last night and Zach Wilson lit me up. I still won 38-31. Then I played Commanders (me) at Broncos and Wilson was awful. I think I lost 14-7 but entering the 4th it was 0-0. I’ve never had that score before.

It does seem the CPU struggles much more against a heavy pass rush.

To be fair I am not the greatest and don’t always take advantage of which coverages to be in when. I’ve been playing coach suggestions in this mode 90% of the time. Going to post sliders tonight. I’ll link later. I’m

I am using Matts slider set with the AM difficulty and I see mixed results each game, I definitely see lower rated qbs struggle against me IF I get a pass rush. Up until about a month ago I always played linebacker position on defense but now on passing downs I usually user one of my pass rushers and I definitely notice the cpu qb get nervous and will make mistakes or throw the ball away.
