Re: NBA 2K24 - Second Official Rating Update - 11.30.2023

WTF How is the world did Come Anthony and Jalen Suggs go down?

And I don't need an advance stats lesson. Both those guys have been playing some of the best basketball of their careers right now.

Yes I might be a little dramatic above lol. But no way should those 2 have dropped.

Edit: This has to be wrong lol. I'm logging in now to see the difference. Is this some weird play to keep them in tier 3? I need the individual ratings ASAP. I'm not even a Magic fan .

Edit 2: I hope Zion's stamina is fixed with this drop. I need to see the ratings on this one too.

Everything else seems on point. I don't know about some of these bumps for bench players. Waiting to login in a moment.

I just quickly logged in and Jalen Suggs numbers are a mistake. It's actually +2 on his rating. He was a 76 and is now 78. He got a shooting boost and a steal rating boost. They weirdly dropped his block shots a few ticks (61 to 53). Probably one of better defensive guards out there right now.

In Cole Anthony case they dropped his shooting ratings.

But I guess with all the boost to their bench that makes sense for balance wise. But they shouldn't be in tier 3 anymore. Probably should have a better defense. But again probably because they boosted other bench players.

Still looking

Not an advanced stat lesson, just a regular stat lesson.

Cole Anthony 10/24 to 11/8
16 PPG, 4 RPG, 3 APG, 25 MPG
48 FG%, 43 3PT%

Cole Anthony 11/9 to 11/29
15 PPG, 5 RPG, 4 APG, 27 MPG
42 FG%, 34 3PT%

Over the season, Anthony is effectively the same player he was in the 2022-2023 season. Higher Foul Draw rate (leading to higher Usage), everything else is the same.

Of course the real one in need of a lesson is Stauffer, who has been wildly adjusting 3pt shot ratings over the last decade, even though 3pt% is the highest variance statistic in the NBA and not actually reflective of shooting ability. Players don't need to be going up and down 10 points every two weeks.

My fault on that one. I forgot to update the - to a + for Suggs.

They didn’t change Sam Hauser’s traffic cone defensive ratings. He’s a pretty solid defender but he still has 55 perimeter defense.

I completely agree with that!!! It's too big of a swing

You almost caused a rift in space and time with a change of a plus sign LOL

I was like "Damn the Magic are playing amazing right now. Especially those 2 guys." The one player I didn't think need a boost was Gary Harris.
