How long for youth academy player to earn a trait

I have a playing in my youth academy that has 0-2 traits does this mean he will eventually learn 2 trait?

How long before he learns those traits?
When I promote him he shows up without any traits?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that just means when you promote them to the first team they will have 0-2 play styles. I don’t think they learn them. I thinks it’s already fixed, you just don’t know what it is until you promote them. I had a player with 4-5 play styles, promoted him and he had 5 including one play style plus.

It’s kind of like hidden development on Madden if you play that?

Yes, I think the 0-2 is the game saying “this player will have between 0 and 2 playstyles. I’ve found that when you promote to your first team makes no difference to how many or what playstyle they have.

I’ve had players with 0-5 playstyles and on promotion, they have 0. Some have 5.

Correct. The scouting report just shows the range playstyles. Players do not earn them, they are assigned them from the start.
