Shooting Help NBA2K24

Hi,

Is there a way I can improve my shooting? All areas on the floor suffer. Should I just go to practice and get after it? Perhaps I do not understand the shooting icon.

Thank you for any help you could provide,

Play around with the shooting release options, find the one that works best for you.

This really breakdown how shooting works from a timing point of view. Depending on the situation. Especially with bad shooters.

2k made shooting easier since the game came out guys like you cried about missing shots so 2k quietly updated the game now everyone is hitting 3's at a ridiculous rate guys even exploit the shooting by hitting these running fadeaway 3's

Yeah I was about to say this. I played a few games today. My opponent hit 13 three points vs my 12. I had to pause and ask him if he's ever shot like this before. He was like nope.

Shooting was in a good place in my opinion last week.

green = 100 % needs to go, way too easy for good players.

I 1000% agree on this. Maybe reward basic catch & shoot 3s that are wide open, but the way they've made ALL open & lightly contested 3s easy to green is sickening. I'm over here getting clobbered with Shaq struggling to score inside because of a stupid post lockdown badge/anchor on a defender half as strong as Shaq, while I gotta be worrying about (insert flashy player here) making off the dribble 3s, dancing behind screens, & leaning 3s that are EASIER than layups.

That doesn't sit well with me as someone who takes pride in paint control & forcing bad outside shots.
