So yeah, Penalties after years of nothing?

Afraid to ask but how are penalties looking this year? With the "addition" of refs, surely they fixed the penalties.

Played a bunch of the beta with penalties at 95..pretty much non existent...

Played a game last night again with penalties at 95..saw a grand total of 2, both on the first drive..
1-Offsides on Pittsburgh
2-False Start Tampa Bay

That's it..it's my belief the refs are only "window dressing" and for EA to say "see we listen to the community" because in what I've witnessed so far there wasn't any indication that penalties have been adjusted in any way.

I mean seriously though, the game isn't really all that terrible, but I had mentioned in another thread it's almost game killing for me..as it's a real immersion killer.

I'm going to try to get in a few games tonight and will give feedback with penalties jacked with 120 plays or so per game.Generally 10 min qtrs no accel.clock.

I said I wouldn't buy until they fix this and am inclined to just go back to my '16 franchise and be fine with it.Penalties are a deciding factor in many games and to not have them is huge.

It's hard to make the defense good enough in Madden without having a turnover fest.Penalties are one of the only true drive killers.

I played a half of a preseason game and saw one penalty for holding. As much as I would love to see more penalties in this game unfortunately the penalty sliders also affect the game play to. While some may want more penalties it can also make the gameplay wonky and unrealistic at times.

Ist game-2 penalties(holding and false start) in 135 plays.

Very reminiscent of last year.I'll give feedback after a couple more games but expect that if you decide to buy the game you won't be seeing many penalties and I don't think they care to fix this.

Otherwise you can get the game to play pretty well.

Try them all at 51 except RTP.

Figured I would share this here..finished a game a little while ago but this time jacked up the penalty sliders to 99, finished the game with a grand total of 4!

This is playing 15min q's with a 12 acc clock...

Also starting to see a weird "bug" I guess, on the rare occasion a penalty IS called, I'm now looking at the refs back, not sure what's going on there...lol
